タスマニアでファームジョブ！～最強のファームジョブ編～

前回はタスマニアでのファームジョブということで、コスタについて書きましたが、

今回は私がタスマニアで最強だと思うファームジョブについて

but today I would like to share with you guys about the AMAZING farm job which I worked in Tasmania!

その最強のファームジョブとは

 The farm job is...

ホップファーム

 HOP FARM

です。

実はこの最強のホップファームですが、

Actually, one of my amazing Italian friend who I traveled together in Tasmania

私と一緒にタスマニアに来たイタリア人の友達のおかげで見つけることが出来ました！

ちなみにホップって。。。。

Anyways, what is HOP...

そう、我らがぐびぐび飲むビールのホップです。

Yes, it is hop for BEER which we can't stop drinking..

と言ってもビールの工場ではなくて、

However, it is not brewry.

ビール工場いわゆるbrewery に売るためのホップを生産している会社です。

It is the comany which produce hop to to brewery or somewhere else

ホップってなんぞや？どんな形なんや？って思う方。。。

 For those who cannot imagine what is HOP...

これがホップです。

 This is it

小さいキャベツみたいで可愛らしいですが、正直めちゃ臭いです♡（笑）

It is like a little cute cabbage (for me) but it doesn't sell good to be honest

でも臭いはなれるのでご心配なく

 but don't worry you will get used to it

私はこの会社のPellet Plantというパッキングのポジションに配属されました。

I was assighed to packing position at Pellet Plant in this company 

他にはトラクターを運転するピッキングの仕事等もあるみたいですが、その人たちは、

There are some other positions like picking with driving tractors

だいたい１か月くらいしか働けないみたいです。

but they can work around 4 weeks or a bit more (depends on that season )

Pellet Plantは、だいたい２か月働けるのに加えて、

On the other hand, you wil be able to work approximately 7 weeks at Pellet Plant 

工場のなかでパッキングするので、雨で仕事がなくなるということもありません。

 and they don't give you extra days off due to heavy rainig

(It means if you work as a picker with tractor, you may get extra days off )

【ホップファームへのアプライ方法】

このホップファーム名前が

The name of this hop farm is

HPA Hop Productsです。

 HPA Hop farm

工場はタスマニアとビクトリアにあるので、タスマニアのほうに応募しましょう。

The company has their farm and plant in both Vivtori and Tasmania so I applied for Tasmania 

ホップファームのシーズンは３月上旬なので、

The season starts around the biggining of March

募集はだいたい１月中旬くらいからはじまります。

that's why the recruitment occurs around in January

会社のウェブサイトから履歴書と一緒にメールを送ります。

First, you send email with your resume from their websites

それからHRの人からアプリケーションフォームを提出するように返事がきます。

(Then, HR will contact you and ask you to fill out application form)

その書類審査で合格すれば、２月末に合格通知のメールがきます！

and if your application has successed, you will get email from HR by the end of February 

ちなみにわたしはこのアプリケーションフォームを提出するときに

By the way, when I send this application form

なぜかイタリア人の友達のメールアドレスに送っていて、

I stupidly sent it to my Italian friend's email address

（もちろんHRにはアプリケーションは届いておらず）

(the application surely didn't reach to HR......)

そのまま気づかずに１か月。。。。

I spent a month without noticing this fact...

送れていないと気づいたのはインダクションの２週間前！

I realized that thing two weeks before the induction!

（冷や汗止まりませんでした）

I was so desappointed for myself.... yes, this is me

なんとかそのイタリア人の友達に私も一緒に行けるか聞いてみてもらったところ、

but he kindly helped me out, he asked to HR if I would be able to join there

どうにかわたしも一緒に働かせてもらえることに！！！

and HR said yes!!!

まさにThanks to him againです！！！！！

My tasmanian farm life could not be better without him lol

コスタで終わっていたに違いありません。Grazie...

【ホップファーム仕事内容＆稼ぎ】

さてわたしが配属されたPellet Plantですが

Speaking of The Pllet Plant which I was assighed at this company,

このポジション何といっても

you can make pretty good money at this position!

稼げます！

シフトは基本デイシフトとナイトシフトがあり、どちらも基本

Basically, they have day shift and night shift and they will give you 10 hours in a day, 5 or 6 days in a week. 

１日１０時間×週５日 or ６日　です。

私はデイシフトとして配属されました。

I was assighned as a day shift worker.

時給制で、私が働いていた時は時給２４ドルでした。（ナイトシフトはもっと上です）

It's hourly paid and they paid $24 when I was working at the time, and obviously you could get higher wage as a night shift worker.

なので１日だいたい２００ドル稼げます（taxがひかれたあとです）

As a day shift worker I made about $200 a day after tax.

そしてなんと、こちらカジュアル契約なので

Besides, this is casual contract job so after I worked 300 hours,

３００時間働いた後はオーバータイムと言って時給が1.5倍になるみたいです。

my wage was raised up to 1.5 whic was $34 at the time

なので最後の２週間ぐらい時給が３４ドルになります（笑）

so I was paid $34/hr about last 2 weeks at the time 

(※this is just my experience so I cannot guarantee for the info, it might be different when you actually work)

（taxひかれたあとの計算で１日２８０ドル）

It was about $280 a day after tax

わたしはこのホップファームだけでだいたい１万ドルぐらいは稼いだと思います。

 I am pretty sure I made about $10,000 for this seasonal job 

まさにタスマニアンドリーム！

Apparently this is a TASMANIAN DREAM!

またこのファームのまわりなにもないので全然お金使いません（笑）

Then, There are nothing to do around this farm so you will not have any chance to spend your saving 

貯金したい方にはもってこいの職場です！

it means that tihis is an amazing place if you want to make more saving for your  traveling in the future!

さて、仕事内容ですが

ホップが小さい粒になったものをPelletsというのですが、

それらを機械を使ってひたすらパッキングする仕事です。

５キロと１０キロがあります。

（最後の週だけ５００キロを少しやりました（笑））

工場みたいな仕事なのでファームジョブ！って感じではないです。

ひたすら機械で同じ作業を１０時間するのはきつそう。。。

と最初思っていたのですが、

ローテーションしてできるので、あまり苦ではありません（笑）

むしろ慣れてしまえば勝手に休憩できます（笑）

ホップがたまるのを待っている間は掃除をしたり

羊をみたり。。。（笑）

また休憩が２回あるので、１０時間と言ってもそこまできつくはありません

アコモデーションですが、この会社敷地内にいくつかシェアハウスを持っているので

空きがあればそちらに住むことも可能です。（$80/pw）

空きがなければキャンプサイト($60/pw)もあるのでキャンプが好きな方はぜひ☆

また、キャンプサイトとシェアハウスからは歩いて職場まで行けますが

車があったほうがベターです。

ちなみに、私たちは最初キャンプサイトしか空いていないといわれたので

一番近くのタウンNew Norfolkにあるモーテルに３週間ほど滞在していました。

(キャンプ派ではない。。)

しかし３週間後くらいにまたシェアハウスの空きがあるか聞いてみたところ

なんと空きがちょうどでるとのことだったので

運よくシェアハウスに引っ越すことができました！

（なんでもとにかく聞いてみることが大事！）

家のすぐ外は草原 

 総合的にとにかく稼げて普通のファームジョブみたいに

たくさんの虫と戦ったりしなくていいのでわたしはこの仕事大好きでした！

このファームがタスマニアで、わたし的には最強のファームジョブでした
